Training Experts has been providing Information Technology (IT) training and services since 2001. Our team of senior trainers and national speakers consistently delivers high-quality and engaging IT training.
We offer a full range of educational services from high-quality instructors to private training to custom content development. We have more than a decade of experience in helping our customers create the best possible training solutions.
We share a passion for learning, technology, and teaching. Our mission is to help everyone learn, grow, and develop their potential, including trainers!
Our founder, Zachary Niemann, has had a lifelong love of learning and passion for science and technology. He started teaching Information Technology (IT) classes in 2001 and quickly earned a reputation for delivering very high-quality technical training, combining subject matter expertise with an engaging presentation style.
Within five years he was a National Speaker at the Microsoft TechEd conference and in 2009, he was ranked as one of the Top 10 speakers in the entire conference. During this time, Zachary also became the well-known face of many TestOut computer-based training (CBT) products. His videos are still used by thousands of students around the world.
Zachary found himself with more work coming in than he could handle alone, so he decided to grow beyond a one-person operation and groom a new generation of instructors. It was at that point that Training Experts was really born. Zachary codified his teaching methodology into a Train-The-Trainer (TTT) program and began to teach others how to teach.
Each of the trainers that have graduated from our TTT program have been ranked as among the best in the nation, as verified by their consistently high student evaluation scores. Some of the graduates of our TTT course have even gone on to become national speakers.
Juniper Networks even recently named one of our instructors as #1 in North America in 2014!
Our Leadership Team
Founder and President
Zach is the Founder and President of Training Experts, a company providing Information Technology (IT) training and services since 2001.
As one of the most sought-after technical trainers and speakers in the industry, Zach spends more time away from his home base of Portland, Oregon, than in it, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. He thrives on the feeling of accomplishment that comes when a student really gets a difficult concept, and has a proven ability to help students from all walks of life.
Zach has leveraged his innate aptitude for technology and his charismatic personality into a successful training career and founded Training Experts in 2001. His list of certifications runs a mile long – we call it “Alphabet Soup”.
He’s been a National Speaker at TechEd six years in a row, and was once ranked in the Top 10 of all speakers in the entire conference.
Zach is also the well-known face of many TestOut Computer-Based Training (CBT) products, viewed by thousands of students worldwide.
He has also frequently been selected from many applicants to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for writing Microsoft certification exams, most recently including Windows 8 and Server 2012.
His love of travel also extends to his personal life – he’s braved a sketchy mile-long zip line in China that would definitely not meet OSHA standards, dived at the Great Barrier Reef, hiked Machu Picchu, and trekked through the rainforests of Guatemala to the Mayan temples in Tikal.

Krystle is the very definition of a geek, a knowledgeable and obsessive enthusiast. Upon realizing that she doesn’t know something, she has an uncontrollable urge to figure it out. She brings this same focus and deep understanding to the classroom, working hard to research and answer any question a student may throw at her. It’s not just the answers that drive her, but the journey leading up to that moment where everything slides into focus and becomes clear. Guiding her students on their own journey, she converts their curiosity into enthusiasm, having them experience that moment of clarity for themselves. She’s highly experienced with Juniper, Microsoft, networking and security, and is proud to have been chosen to be a Subject Matter Expert for multiple certification exams.
Her hobbies are eclectic but no less geeky, in fact possibly moreso. A trained artist, she enjoys mold making, lost wax glass casting, and playing dangerously with electricity, glass, and neon gas…or any other noble gas for that matter. She has survived and thrived in post apocalyptic digital wastelands, and also plays a mean support hero. Her unbelievable luck often carries her to victory in board games while her friends look on in disbelief. Lastly and most importantly she is an accomplished puppy wrangler, spending most of her spare time in the company of her dogs.
